About me

My name is Jack and I’m a freelance policy journalist and researcher. Based in Toronto, I’m Policy Editor at the nonprofit Social Capital Partners, which creates high-risk solutions to tackle important social problems.

I also work on some independent writing projects, and have been funded by Columbia Journalism School’s Dart Center to report on the opioid crisis in Indigenous communities. Meanwhile, I comment regularly for CapX and talkRADIO, and am a fellow at the international think tank Open Political Economy Network (OPEN).

Originally from London, I previously reported on policy at Apolitical.co, a global platform for public servants, and worked on policy and communications in the UK Parliament. I hold a BA in History from the University of Oxford and an MSc in Comparative Politics from the London School of Economics.
